Academic Curriculum

At Darling Downs Adventist College, we understand the critical importance of a solid foundation. Our literacy and numeracy programs are developed through research-based approaches, dedicated to nurturing a love for learning and tailored to meet the specific needs and abilities of each student. Through explicit curriculum, passionate teachers, and engaging activities, we empower our students with the essential skills and knowledge they need to become confident and proficient learners.  

All students participate each year in our Kitchen Garden and Food and Fashion programs. Through this practical, hands-on learning approach, students can apply theoretical knowledge in real-world situations, leading to a deeper and more comprehensive understanding.  

Outdoor learning opportunities are regularly incorporated throughout the curriculum. These activities require decision-making, problem-solving and critical thinking, helping students develop valuable life skills. 

Set within the framework of a Biblical, Christian worldview, our primary academic curriculum is consistent with both State and Federal Government requirements.
