25 October was a busy day at DDCS. Not only was it World Teachers’ Day (and Mr Cooney’s birthday!) but it was the day of the P&F’s big fundraiser – the Colour Run. The much-anticipated event was quite a hit – largely thanks to the water slide that was a part of the run circuit. The water really enhanced the colours and made them more vibrant – so lots of colourful photo opportunities! The P&F committee members looked as though they were having a good time squirting colour on passing students - as well as each other – and Pr Jacob was quite a sight! Congratulations to the students who really excelled in their fundraising and will be rewarded by some of the gifts they earned. Most importantly the P&F will be many thousands of dollars closer to paying for air-conditioning in the Science building.
