On Wednesday, August 14, thirteen DDCS students had the opportunity to compete in the Toowoomba Secondary School Sports (TSSS) Carnival held at Harristown State High School.

Both our male and female participants achieved good personal results. Special congratulation to Daniel and Matthew Sippel who placed in the top three for the following events in their age group:

• Daniel Sippel (15&U) : 1st in Triple Jump, 3rd in 100m Hurdles, 3rd in Javelin Throw, 3rd in High Jump
• Matthew Sippel (14&U) : 3rd in Long Jump

Overall the boys who attended did particularly well, coming away with the "Paul Faithful Cup". It is awarded according to overall school points won by the representing boys divided by the number of boys enrolled multiplied by one hundred. In other words, on average, our competing boys won the most points per capita, which is a great accomplishment.

Well done to each of our students who participated, especially the boys - you have all done DDCS proud!
