Secondary Week of Worship
From Monday, February 3 to Friday, February 7, we had our Secondary Week of Worship. Week of Worship is an annual event that is dedicated to special chapel services every day for one week to help students get to know God a little better. We were very fortunate to be able to have an international speaker this year. Pr Willy Ramos, who is an evangelist, cartoonist, comedian, song writer, producer, director and author. He has been preaching the Gospel for nearly 20 years and, in his words, "preachin' the word like you ain't neva heard".
He shared his life testimony through sermons, ghetto-style poetry and a touch of humour. He touched many hearts with the past he has come from but even more hearts with the message he has for everyone. He let his messes become his MESSAGE; his tests become his TESTIMONY and his misery become his MINISTRY, and he just wants to see as many people as he can follow Jesus and go to Heaven with him.
We saw many students this week respond to the message God had through Pr Willy, ending with three of our students being baptised and 39 more being ready to discover who Jesus is for themselves. Thank you to everyone who was involved in this week. What a powerful way to start our year!
