Last week we said Sayounara to our Japanese guests. DDCS hosted 17 students and one teacher from Seijo Junior & Senior High School in Tokyo. They spent a week with us, learning English and being immersed in Australian school life. During their stay they joined in classes from Prep to Senior, participated in cooking and sport, and shared some of their own culture and experiences with us. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to connect and share with peers from across the globe, and to create real connections to the concepts we learn about in Japanese lessons. Thank you to all the buddy students, teachers and host families who helped make our guests feel welcome. We look forward to hosting Seijo students again in the future.
