On Monday, February 24, Miss Litster took four Year 6 leaders to Brisbane for Halogen's 'National Young Leaders Day'. The two primary captains and Year 6 SRC members enjoyed a day of fun and learning. They were able to meet young leaders from other schools in Queensland and listen to a variety of inspirational Australian speakers. Interspersed throughout the day were fun activities and videos. The main speakers for the day were John Coutis (a man who lives life without legs), Jackie French (Australian author), Erin Molan (TV presenter) and Bianca Chatfield (former Australian netballer). The DDCS leaders were inspired by each speaker and learned practical strategies that they can apply to their own leadership.
